INTERMEDIATE KAYAKING (ACR-168)
Course Description:
Students taking this course should have taken Kayaking Basics or equivalent. This three-session course is for students with some experience who are ready to improve their basic skills and learn skills appropriate for river running and/or open water. Classroom time will focus on safety, trip planning, and technique with videotape analysis of your strokes available. In the pool, you will refine your basic strokes, learn more advanced maneuvers such as braces and moving draws, work on balance control and boat lean, and learn to roll.
