OKEMOS SPECIAL NEEDS DAY CAMP
Our day camp is designed to meet the needs of the mentally impaired child, ages 7 and older. Children with other special needs may be accepted upon individual assessment. This summer academic and recreation program can make a difference in a child’s life. The camp provides academic skill development, growth in social skills such as peer interaction, self-esteem, and leadership, with the opportunity to experience the community environment as fully as possible. All campers must be toilet-trained. Campers will enjoy many exciting field trips from bowling to visiting animals at the zoo. The 7 week camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from June 17 to August 2, 2013.
